© Minco Minstrel Minco, Oklahoma March 8, 1907 1872 ~ February 28, 1907 Last Monday occurred the death of the oldest Indian - Canutsky- just how old he was no one seems to know, but some claim he was as much as 125 years old. His death occurred at his home 4 ½ miles east of Binger, where he was living with his son-in-law, Blaine Reeder. Canutsky was buried Tuesday with Indian ceremonies, and fires are kept burning at his feet, and the Indians for miles around are preparing for a big dance and feast.- Binger Journal |
