Service will be 10 am Saturday at Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Anadarko. Burial will follow at Parton Family Cemetery in Anadarko. Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko is directing arrangements. |
© Caddo County Tribune Anadarko, Oklahoma September 2020 March 15, 1970 ~ September 20, 2020 Services for Brian Scott "Bruno" Parton will be held at the First Baptist Church in Anadarko, OK. Pastor Lynn Bellamy and Pastor Tim Nestell and Pastor Ted Mercer will be officiating the service. Brian was born to Patricia and William Dee Parton on March 15, 1970, in Lawton, OK. He was a proud member of the Delaware Nation. He attended Gracemont Schools, where he excelled in basketball and baseball. This is also where he made many lifelong friends." Brian was baptized at Grace Christian Fellowship Church along with his two sons. Brian's greatest moments in life were the birth of his sons and along with his wife, Ladonna [Ware] they raised 5 children, Taveah Cozad, William Joe Cozad, Evanee Cozad, Tyus Parton and Travian Parton. He also had an amazing hand in help raise grandson Jayzon. When Tyus and Travian became old enough, their Dad became involved with coaching them in Anadarko's little league basketball, baseball and football programs. Brian coached several Little league Football teams through the years winning 3 super bowl titles with Tyusa's team and a Superbowl title with Traviana's team. So many youth were under his coaching guidance and he loved that he was doing something positive for the Anadarko community youth. He loved to talk and had the ability to strike up and keep up a conversation with a total stranger. At one OU game he started talking with a fellow OU fan and they had many things in common, including little league football. Intrigued by the information from the fellow fan, Brian would make a way to take his Warrior team to the Dallas Cowboys Stadium for a round robin tournament. He set the stage for future Anadarko Little League teams to participate and experience football at an NFL level. Ladonna always told Brian, he should have been a sports commentator because he knew the answers to every sports trivia question that popped up on the tv. Brian also coached AAU basketball with his team, The War Hoops, which is a nod to friend Matt Foreman for letting Brian keep the tradition of continuing the name, They traveled all over the state and even a tournament in New Mexico. Brian was an avid sports fan of all types. He loved OU Football, being a proud 22 year season ticket holder and also a loyal Dallas Cowboy Fan and New York Yankees Fan. Brian is survived by his wife of 22 years, Ladonna Ware Parton who he affectionately called "Babe" along with their 5 children. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Vailee, Deveric, Draven, and Quinlee Toppah and Jayzon Ballejo. Along with his loving mother Pat Owings, Stuart Owings of Anadarko. Brian is also survived by his 3 brothers, Jay Parton of Las Vegas, NV.; Troy Parton of Colorado, and Todd Parton of Anadarko, OK. His nephews Jacob Parton, Kaden Parton, Isaac Parton of Norman, OK and Grayson Parton of Colorado Springs. His uncle Roger Rose of Shawnee, Aunt Ginger Bivins of Shawnee, and special nieces April Parton and Brandi Deen. Brian also leaves behind his lifelong friends Eric Wright, Robert Harmon, and David Dorrough with so many other friends and family too numerous to name all. In honor of Brian and his love for the game, please if you would, wear his favorite team jerseys or t-shirts. Welcoming Brian into the kingdom of heaven are his Dad, William Dee Parton, grandparents Don and Lucille Nestell, grandmother Mable Waitscox and grandpa Jesse Parton and his Angel Grandson, Kendon Pahn-Mye (Above the clouds). Also welcoming him to his eternal home are his best friends, Donnie Bear and Jimi Holliman. Pallbearers: Eric Wright, Robert Harmon, Shawn Edge, Louie Farina, David Dorrough, Joe Joe Jones, Larry Burkhardt, Mosiah Ware, Charlie Nestell Jr, Randy Nestell, Larry Whitfield and Lehman Ware Jr. Honorary Pallbearers: Darrell Ballou, Dustin Tartsah, TJ Tartsah, Matt Watkins, Kaden Parton, Jacob Parton, Isaac Parton, Grayson Parton, Lowell Mitchusson, Jayzon Ballejo, and Isaiah WhiteEagle. and the Warhoops basketball team.
