Ruby [Edwards] Redbird
June 4, 1924 ~ December 6, 2013


Ruby Redbird, 89 of Binger, Oklahoma was called home by the Lord on Friday, December 6, 2013 at the Binger Nursing Home. She was born June 4, 1924 to Willie and Susie [Lindsay] Edwards in Binger, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Binger High School with the class of 1944 and went on to further her career and received her Doctorate Degree in Business from Oklahoma University.

She was united in marriage to Harold Redbird in 1958 in Marty, South Dakota. He preceded her in death in 2000.

She loved teaching and taught many years. She enjoyed traveling, doing word find puzzles and giz saw puzzles.

Her greatest love was for her family, she was especially close to her brother, Levi and nephew and nieces, whom she loved dearly.

She had made a profession of her faith in Christ and attended the Presbyterian Church. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Susie Edwards, four brothers, Gilbert Edwards, Charlie Edwards, Gene Edwards and Robert Edwards, one sister, Helen Ed.

She is survived by one brother, Levi Edwards of Ada, Oklahoma.

A Celebration of Life will be at 10:00 A.M., Monday, December16, 2013 at Smith Chapel Burial. Dennis King officiating. Burial will follow in the Murray Cemetery at Binger, Oklahoma under the direction of Smith Funeral Home
