Funeral services for Dennis Querdibitty, 55, of Oklahoma City were held Thursday, March 8, 2007 at the Caddo Tribe of Oklahoma complex in Binger with Donna Pewo officiating.

Prayer services were held Wednesday, March 7, 2007 at the Caddo Tribe of Oklahoma Complex in Binger with Jed Querdibitty officiating.

Dennis was born March 26, 1951 to Jed and Waunda [Reeder] Querdibitty in Oklahoma City and died Monday, March 4, 2007 at the Integris Southwest Hospital in Oklahoma City after a short illness.

He was a graduate of the 1969 class of W. S. Grant High School in Oklahoma City. He was a veteran of the United States Army, he served his country in Vietnam, where he received his National Defense Service Medal; Vietnam Campaign Medal; Vietnam Cross of Gallantry with Palm; Aircraft Crewman's Badge [2nd Award]; Bronze Star Medal; Army Commendation Medal; Good Conduct Medal [2nd Award]; Senior Aircraft Badge; Marksman [Rifle]; Vietnam Service Medal [2 Campaigns], Last Country of Overseas Assignment,Korea Military Education; AH-1G Helicopter Repaorman and Basic Leadership Course, he was an Attach Helicopter repairer and an Aircraft Mechanic Repairman.

After completing eight years of active duty he received his Honorable Discharge and began his work at Tinker Air Force Base in Del City as an Aircraft Mechanic, where he recently retired.

He enjoyed his job and all his fellow employees and friends at Tinker. He was a man of his word. He loved his family very much. His greatest joy was being with them.

He never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Dennis said, you can't go through a war as he and many have and not believe in God. He had made a profession of his faith in Christ.

Dennis will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his father, Jed Querdibitty of Canton; his mother, Waunda Querdibitty of Oklahoma City; one son, Aaron T. Querdibitty of Oklahoma City; one brother, Terry querdibitty of Temple Hill, Maryland; two sisters, Karen Contreras Querdibitty and husband, Lewis of Oklahoma City and Denise Querdibitty of Oklahoma City; five nieces, Dyonne Querdibitty, Adria Rupe, Stacia Querdibitty and Tonya Kelley all of Oklahoma City and Destiny Saumty of Norman; one nephew, Justin Rupe of Oklahoma City; two great nephews, Mark Curtis and Michael Curtis; one great niece, Casey Curtis; cousins, Jonathan Querdibitty, Ronald Gene Ahhitty, Billy Hodge, Howard Hodge, Gwen McIntyre, Donna Pewo, Marilyn Brown, Bobby Chaat and Cheryl; and his very best friend, Darris Stills of Oklahoma City.

Burial was in thr Binger Cemetery under the direction of the Binger Funeral Home in Binger.
