Wilda Faye [Howe] King
January 21, 1919 ~ November 22, 2013


Wilda Faye King was born on January 21, 1919 in Gracemont, Oklahoma, and passed away on November 22, 2013 in Anadarko, Oklahoma at the age of 94.

Faye attended the Britton School and lived in the Gracemont-Binger area all of her life.

She married Louie Everett King January 14, 1938 at Geary, Oklahoma.

Faye and Louie worked on their farm for many years.

She was a member of the Church of God since 1940.

She later worked for Helms Grocery, Friendship Manor Nursing Home, Sequoyah Carpet Mills, 3-M and drove a Binger School Bus. Faye once stopped the school bus and let one of the kids pick mushrooms.

She was known as Granny to her grandchildren and Granny Wrinkles to some of her great-grandchildren.

She is survived by: 3 daughters, Imogene Sitton, Binger, Oklahoma, Nancy Harper, Anadarko, Oklahoma, Donna Taylor and husband Bobby, Hinton, Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, Charlie Sitton, Carol Price, Connie Godfrey, Lana Brewster, Tama Gilbreath, Carl Taylor, Gayla Stephenson, Angie Hawkins, Terry Taylor, 31 great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren, 3 brothers: Jr Howe, Chickasha, Oklahoma, Alfred Howe, Binger, Oklahoma and Bill Howe, Culver, Oregon, as well as many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by: her husband, Louie King, 1 daughter, Opal Bird, 2 grandsons: Dewayne Bird and Dean Sitton, 5 sisters: Maxine Sheppard, Anna Mae Haskell, Gladas Raines, Thelma Jo James, Louise Rider, 1 brother, Frank Howe, 3 sons-in-law; Buck Sitton, Lonnie Harper and Donald Bird.

Service: Church of God, Tuesday, 2:00 PM, November 26, 2013, Binger, Oklahoma, Officiating: Rev Kevin Bartley.
