DEATH FROM A WOUND

B.F. Eggleston, of Caddo County, Died at Binger

B.F. Eggleston died yesterday afternoon on the operating table, as a result of the gunshot wound received at the hands of his demented brother-in-law, Alvin Wood, on July 9.

For about a week Mr. Eggleston has been growing gradually worse. Dr. McCray made up his mind Wednesday that it would be policy to attempt an operation on the wound, to find the bullet and to take up a small artery that had been giving trouble. The attempt was made yesterday, by Drs. Clarke, of El Reno, Campbell of Anadarko, and McCray of Binger. It was found that the femoral artery had been pierced and the effort to take it up resulted in death from hemorrhage and shock. The doctors say the wound was necessarily fatal and that no one could have done more than has been done by Dr. McCray.

Frank Eggleston was one of Caddo county's best citizens. His age was 35 years, and he leaves a wife and one child, a boy 14 years old.
