Long Illness Is Fatal For Sister Of Local Couple

Funeral services for Mrs. Howard Daugherty, Binger, sister of Keith Rackley and Mrs. Lavern Johnson, Carnegie, were held Monday afternoon at the Cox Funeral chapel in Binger. Burial was at Binger.

Mrs. Daugherty died Saturday evening at her home east of Binger after an illness of more than a year.

Inez Rackley was born in Arkansas in 1912 and with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. T.W. Rackley, came to Caddo county in 1926 settling near Gracemont.

She was married to Howard Daugherty at Gracemont in 1933 and continued to live in that area until her death. Fourteen children were born to them, 13 of whom survive.

She was a member of the Binger Baptist church.

She was preceded in death by her mother in 1949 and a brother about a year ago.

Among her survivors are the husband of the home; 13 children; her father of Orange Grove, Calif.; six brothers, Keith of Carnegie, Irvin of Mountain View, Cyril of Oklahoma City, Avalon of Lovington, N.M., Burlin of Fresno, Calif., and Arlie Rackley of Gracemont; three sisters, Mrs. Johnson of Carnegie, Mrs. J.C. Pennington of Oklahoma City and Mrs. Linn Wetwiska of Mission, Kans., and other relatives.
