Frank Irise Blakley
October 7, 1930 ~ Ausust 12, 2009


Funeral services for Frank Irise Blakley, 78, of Lookeba were held 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 15, 2009 ay Swan Lake Baptist Church with Rev Tom Clifton and Rev Jake Hivks officiating.

He was born October 7, 1930 to Irise Earl and Beatrice [Kincer] Blakley in Fort Cobb and died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at his home after a long fight with cancer.

He attended school at Oakdale. He joined the United States Army. He was in the Korean Conflict and was a P. O. W. Frank received a purple heart and many other medals. He was proud to be an American and to serve his country.

He was married to Wanet Duvall while he was in the Army, from this union five children were born.

He later married Peggy Ferguson on April 5, 1984 in Wheeler, Texas and gained tow other children.

He was a farmer by trade. He enjoyed tilling the soil, raising his kids, raising cattle and a big garden. His greatest love was for his family, whom he loved spending time with, especially his grandchildren, great grandchildren and one great great granddaughter.

He taught his grandchildren how to play dominos and poker abd they always had such a great time with their papa.

He was a member of the Swan Lake Baptist Church.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

He was preceded in death by his parents; four brothers, Billy, George, John and Jesse Blakley; one grandson, Michael Dillishaw; one infant granddaughter, Jamie Lynn Pendergraft; and one daughter, Glenda Carol Pendergraft.

Survivors include his wife, Peggy of home; two sons, Frank Irise Blakley Jr, and wife, Linda, of Norman and Timmy Ferguson and wife, Trush, of Lookeba; four daughters, Judy Ballard and fiancé, Bobby Oehler of Hinton, Valerie Ellis and husband, Mike of hinton, Sandra Earp and husband, Brent, of Arcadia; 15 special grandchildren; 23 special great grandchildren; one very special great great granddaughter' one son-in-law, Ronnie Pendergraft of Norman; one brother, Earl Blakley of Oklahoma City; two sisters, Laverne Anthony and husband, Herb, of Moore, and Patricia Garvia of Glenn Rose, Texas; a special grandson he and Peggy raised, Cody Ferguson of home; two special friends, Rose Harrison of Lookeba and Bobby Oehler of Hinton; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends

Burial was in the Binger Cemetery under the direction of Binger Funeral Home
