Ann Katherine [Tainpeah] Villicana

Ann Katherine Tainpeah Villicana, 77, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma went home to be with her Lord on Friday, January 26, 2007, at her home in Oklahoma City.

She was born March 1, 1929 in Caddo County, Oklahoma to Guy and Alice [Pickard] Tainpeah.

She graduated from Haskell Institute in Lawrence, Kansas.

She was a member of the Pentecostal Church of God Indian Mission in Oklahoma City for over 15 years and enjoyed going to church and helping with church functions.

She also enjoyed traveling and being with her grandchildren. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include four daughters, Dione Hackworth, Michelle Hummingbird, Renee Bruesch, all of Oklahoma City and Frances Park of Great Britain; two sisters, Jean (Horsechief) Weathers of Oklahoma City and Florabelle (Tainpeah) Schrock of Verden, Oklahoma, one brother, Noah Horsechief of Anadarko, Oklahoma; eight grandchildren, Manon Hijazi of San Diego, California, Veronica Bruesch, Monica Grove, Leah Hummingbird, Katelyn Hummingbird, Kylee Hummingbird, Daniel Harjo, and Alec Hackworth, all of Oklahoma City; four great grandchildren, Isabelle Bruesch, Christian Grove, Iliana Williams, all of Oklahoma City, and Carlos Norberte of San Diego, California; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ann was preceded in death by her parents, five brothers; George Terrell Tainpeah, John Oliver Tainpeah, Wiley Post Tainpeah, James Tainpeah and Luke Tainpeah, one sister JoAnn Horsechief, and one grandson, Dana Crandell.

The Funeral Service will be held at 12:00 P.M. on Wednesday, January 31, 2007, at the Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Officiating at the Service will be Norma Walker, pastor of the Pentecostal Church of God Indian Mission in Oklahoma City.

Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, under the direction of the Smith Funeral Home, Andarko, Oklahoma.
