Charlene O. [Dukes] Varva

Graveside service for Charlene O. Varva, age 76, of Chickasha will be held 10:00 a.,. Tuesday, August 8, 2006 at Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Oklahoma.

Charlene O. Varva was born September 13, 1929 at Carnegie, Oklahoma. She was the daughter of Charles and Pearl [Sutterfield] Dukes. She died Friday August 4, 2006 in Chickasha.

Mrs. Varva graduated from the Oklahoma College for Women in Chickasha with a Bachelor of Arts Degree. She taught high school English and French at Friend and Anadarko, Okla.

She married Gordon R. Varva July 26, 1947.

She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church of Chickasha.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one infant son.

Survivors include: her husband Gordon R. Varva of the home in Chickasha; one son: Ronald Ray Varva of Chickasha; one sister: Shirley Ann Roberts of Anadarko; one brother: Calvert Dukes of Norman; three grandchildren; Erin Nichole, Nikki Leigh and Jessi Rhea.

Interment will be in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, Oklahoma under the direction of Sevier Funeral Home of Chickasha.
