Winnie Mae [Cheadle] Robinson

Funeral services for Our Dear Mother, Grandmother and Friend, Winnie Mae Cheadle Robinson, 77, (Bobbie) as she was known to her friends and family, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 7 at the Greater First Baptist Church in Anadarko with the Rev. A.G. Burrus, officiating.

She was born on July 6,1933 in Anadarko to the proud parents of Luxie and Myrtle (Nevels) Cheadle. She went to be with her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, August 3, 2010.

She was the cornerstone of her family for 77 beautiful years. Her strength, courage and grace will be remembered and admired by all her family and friends.

She married Hosea Robinson and to that union nine children were born. Bobbie attended Lincoln High School in Anadarko. She worked as a nurses aid at Friendship Manor and Silver Crest Manor. She worked as a custodian for 17 years at the Anadarko Public Schools.

Bobbie accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of Greater First Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Hosea; two sons, Hosea Jr. and Quinton; two brothers, A.J. Cheadle and Robert Cheadle; a special sister-cousin, Betty Richards; a special aunt and uncle Lonzetta and "Bus" Wilson and grandparents, Patrick and Izora Cheadle, who raised her and her siblings due to the untimely death of their parents.

She leaves to cherish her memory, five daughters, Linda Norwood (Lonnie Hooks), Pattie (Williams) Burdex, Winnie (Johnny) Virgil, Casandra (Anthony) Head, all of Anadarko, Debbie Norwood (Wendell Sanders) of Serria Vista, Ariz., two sons, Preston Robinson of Anadarko, and Leon Robinson (Valoree Palmer) of Chickasha,16 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren; one brother Charles (Jerlean) Cheadle of Riverside, California; four aunts, Henryetta Whitmore of Carson, Calif., Maurice Taylor of Luther, Robbie Bell Nuckols of Chickasha, Elenora Edwards of Yuma, Ariz.,; one brother-in-law, Lee Ronie Robinson of Anadarko; daughter-in-law, Sha Robinson; adopted daughter, Lisa Bono of Brooklyn, N.Y.: adopted son, Billy Wayne Louis of Anadarko; several nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Burial will be in Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko under the direction of Smith Funeral Home.
