L. C. "Rooster" Owings

L. C. "Rooster" Owings, 44, born 17 January 1961 in Oklahoma City to George and Marie (Haynes) Owings. He died 1 January 2006 at his home in Anadarko.

He graduated from Anadarko High School in 1980. He worked at Roger's Tire Service, Hollytex, 18 years for Lee's Muffler Shop.

He was preceded in death by his father, brother-in-law, Steve Nation, uncles Ted Lee Owings, John Owings, Bill Haynes and Elmer Haynes; aunts Bessie Tallent, Barbara Drake, Lula Shelton and Noble Samples.

Survivors include his wife, Laurie Carter-Owings of Anadarko, one daughter, Misty Dawn Owings of Gracemont, son Sean Carter, Anadarko; 1 brother, Melvin Owings and wife Linda, 2 sisters, Linda Survance of Arizona, and Carol Nation of Anadarko; his mother Marie Owings of Anadarko; 3 aunts, Fannie Nance of Asher, Lu Ann Robertson and Betty Welch, both of Anadarko.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday, 4 January 2006, in the Steverson FUneral Chapel.

Interment will be in the Memory Lane Cemetery. Condolences by be sent to the family in e-mail to steversonfuneralhome@netride.net
