Billie F. Orme, 84, was born February 10, 1925, in Anadarko, Oklahoma to Bryan and Myrtle (Phillips) Flowers.

She passed from this life on Tuesday, February 2, 2010, in Gregston Nursing Home, Marlow, Oklahoma, following a lengthy illness.

Billie grew up in Anadarko and attended Anadarko schools. She and Vernon "Tony" Orme, were married on August 27, 1940, at McFarland Methodist Church in Norman, Oklahoma.

She and Tony farmed and raised cattle on a farm below Indian City USA for many years, until his death on August 13, 2000.

Billie was an awesome cook, and an avid reader. She enjoyed raising a large garden every year, and loved the farm animals and her many cats.

In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband's brother and sisters, Virgil Orme, Vivian Pentruf, Rachel Mans and Jewell Hardy, and nephew Bobby Orme.

Survivors include a son, Dr. Anthony L. Orme and wife Merlene of Duncan; 3 grandchildren, Shawn Orme and wife Rachel of Dallas, Texas; Shannon Harlow of Duncan and Scott Orme and wife Aparna of Brooklyn, New York; two great grandchildren, Cole Harlow of Duncan and Noah Orme of Dallas; a niece, Joan Hines of Norman and a nephew, David Orme of Anadarko.

There was a private burial service in Memory Lane Cemetery, and plans for a memorial service will be announced later when the threat of ice and snow is over.
