Mable [Gabehart] O'Briant

Mable O'Briant, 94, was born September 18, 1915, in Binger, Oklahoma to Henry J. and Mellie V. [Sanders] Gabehart.

She passed from this life on Monday, October 26, 2009, at her home in Anadarko.

Mable grew up in Binger, and later married the love of her life, Chester O'Briant. Together they and Chester's brother, Walter, owned and operated O'Briant Wholesale of Anadarko for many years.

Mable had many life-long friends that she cherished dearly. She loved her family and always remembered the little things. She never failed to say "I love you," and gave the kind of hugs that made you believe it.

Her family and friends will miss her and remember her qualities of generously, honesty, love, friendship and humor.

Mable lived a full life of infinite kindness, compassion, strength, love and wisdom. She was a long-time member of the First United Methodist Church of Anadarko. She enjoyed bowling for many years and she loved animals.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her brothers George Ray, Albert and Fred Gabehart, and her sister Helen Marie Reed.

The family is very grateful to the nurses for being so sweet to our Aunt Mable, You are truly a blessing.

Funeral services will be Friday, October 30, at 10:00 AM, at the 1st United Methodist Church in Anadarko, with former pastor, Churck Gilbert, officiating.

Burial will follow in Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home. Viewing until 5 PM Wednesday, and from 9 AM until 9 PM Thursday at the funeral home.
