Pauline [Rine] Christian Moore

Pauline Christian Moore, 89, was born in Kingfisher to Lewelling E. and Lillian Wade Rine, and died in Chickasha on Monday, November 16, 2009.

She graduated from Chickasha High School and Oklahoma College for Women. She obtained her masters degree in sociology from OU.

She enlisted in the WAC's during WWII and served most of her time in the Philippines and Australia.

She married Vernon Garth Christian in 1946 in Chickasha. They moved to Anadarko and she worked at Western Farmers Elec. Coop for several years. Mr. Christian died in an accident in 1960.

She worked for the Dept. of Human Services for a few years in Anadarko, and then was the DHS County Administrator for Grady County for a few years before returning to the DHS in Anadarko before her retirement.

She and Jimmy Moore were married in 1971, and have made their home northeast of Anadarko.

She was a member of the VFW, General Federation of Women's Clubs, Business and Professional Women's Clubs and the China Painters Club.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Survivors include her husband, Jimmy, of Anadarko; two sons, Garth Christian and wife, Patty, of Weatherford, OK and Gary Christian and wife, Irene, of Midwest City, OK; one daughter, Gay Ridenour and husband, Tom, of Duncanville, TX; four grandchildren; five great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter; a cousin, Frances Burnett of Lawton.

Rosary: 7 p.m.. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. on Wednesday, both at St. Patrick's Catholic Church.

Burial in Memory Lane Cemetery. Services under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko.
