Alfred C. Kodaseet

Alfred C. Kodaseet, 91, died Tuesday, April 13, 2010 at his home in Muskogee.

He was born August 1, 1918 in Mountain View, Oklahoma to Carlisle Calisay and Bessie Catherine KoKoom Calisay.

During World War II, Alfred served in the U.S. Army in the Southwest Asiatic Pacific (Luzon, P.I.) and was honorably discharged on February 7, 1946.

On July 2, 1947, Alfred and Lucille Letseoma married in Anadarko, Oklahoma

Alfred was a life member of the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars, and the Elks Lodge.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Frank Kodaseet, son Edmund F. Kodaseet, daughter, Jacqueline Carlsgaard and sisters, Ruby Redhorn, Josephine Tsotigh, Alice Kodaseet, Billie Jean Parton, and Rita Joyce Urbina and brother, Eugene Perciado.

Alfred is survived by his wife, Lucille Kodaseet of Muskogee; daughter, LiLing James of Muskogee; grandchildren, Kelly Goldman, Sandra Hicks, Lori Deeringwater, Michael Kinsey, Alex Kodaseet, Ricky Betancur, Cara Betancur, and Heather Betancur; numerous great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and sisters, Roxie Tsotigh of Lawton and Wanda Gouladdle of Anadarko and brother Gerald Calisay of Mountain View.

Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Monday, April 19, 2010 at St. Patricks Catholic Church in Anadarko, OK with Rev. Stanislaus Samineni officiating.

Interment will follow in Memory Lane Cemetery at Anadarko.

Military honors will be presented at the graveside by members of the Ft. Sill Honor Guard.

Pallbearers will be Rick Betancur, Michael Kinsey, Slayter Deeringwater, John Campbell, Sydnie Washington and Kyle Spotted Horse.

Honorary pallbearers are Dan Sadongel, Gary Kodaseet, Victor Ray Palmer, Jules Bert, George Palmer, George Tahbone, Sr. and George Hogner.
