Hubert Jaques

Hubert Jaques, 84 of Bethany, Oklahoma, passed away Friday evening, March 21, 2008. No greater battle was fought for life, courage for another day to live, and he's gone home to be with God. Another member lost of 'The Greatest Generation.'

Hubert was a retired aeronautical engineer at Tinker AFB, a veteran, served in the US Coast Guard, and a VFW member since 1957.

He was a member and usher of St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church.

He loved to help others, had a generous heart, lived with humility and made such a difference. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, friend, neighbor, brother and a good person to anyone in need.

He is survived by Elsie, his wife of 59 years; sons Larry and Steve; grandchildren Heather, Tiffany and Aaron; great-grandchildren Kailee and Rowan; brother Ernest; and sister Bertha.

There are not enough words to describe this man. He had a very strong will to live. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. He taught a lesson in determination from which we all could learn.
