Harry Lee Holcomb, Jr.

Harry Holcomb, Jr. rites set

Funeral services for Harry Lee Holcomb, Jr., age 54 of Weatherford, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in the Greater First Baptist Church at Anadarko with Rev. A.G. Buriss and Rev. Billy Mucker of Clinton officiating.

Harry died Monday, July 18, 2005, at Integris Baptist Medical Center in Oklahoma City. He was born on Aug. 7, 1950, in Anadarko, the son of Harry Lee and Virginia [Baucom] Holcomb, Sr.

He was reared and attended school at Weatherford. While in school he participated in the track program and graduated from Weatherford High School in 1968.

Holcomb started as a cook with the Mark, Porterhouse, Cherokee and K-Bob's Restaurants.

He enjoyed fishing and being with his family.

Burial will follow in the Memory Lane Cemetery at Anadarko under the direction of the Lockstone Funeral Home in Weatherford.

Survivors include three sons, Richard Holcomb, Kentova Holcomb, Kenauia Copeland, all of Clinton; his mother, Virginia Holcomb of Weatherford; his father, Harry Holcomb, Sr. of Watonga; three brothers, Virgil Holcomb of Weatherford, Dwight Holcomb of Oklahoma City, Willie Holcomb of Weatherford; three sisters, Yolanda Holcomb of Weatherford, Noel Holcomb of Long Beach, Calif., Sonya Holcomb of Wichita, Kan.; and a host of nieces and nephews.
