Monnie Beatrice [Stewart] Hargus
August 16, 1933 ~ August 6, 2022


Monnie Beatrice Hargus, 88, passed away August 6, 2022, in OKC, OK. She was born August 16, 1933, in Stringtown, OK to James William and Mary Ann [Parsons] Stewart.

Monnie was the last living child. She had 4 sisters and 9 brothers.

Monnie grew up and attended Stringtown Public School. She met and married James Dunham. He passed away in 1955. Monnie then met Henry Thomas Hargus and they married April 7, 1956, in Anadarko, OK.

Monnie raised her children Linda, Royce, Sharon, Butch and Lesa. She worked at Sequoyah Carpet Mills, Green Apple and private health and home care. Monnie loved gardening and was an avid sports fan. She loved the Thunders and would dress up for the team she was watching play. Monnie loved her family and grandchildren. She was blessed with 12 grandsons and 1 granddaughter.

She was preceded by her: parents, James and Mary Ann; husband, James; husband Henry; daughter and son-in-law, Sharon and Howard Newport; grandsons, Jim and Tandom Lee Dunham; son-in-law, Martin; great grandson, Austin Gray Dunham Monnie is survived by her: Children: Linda & husband, Ken Davis, Anadarko, OK, Royce & wife, Rita Dunham, Shattuck, OK, Butch & wife, Penny Hargus, Clinton, OK, Lesa Noland, Mustang, OK, Grandchildren: Bryce & wife, Elizabeth Davis, Anadarko, OK; Brent Davis, Arkansas City, KS; Travis & wife, Jan Dunham, Shattuck, OK; Tra & wife, Trish, Dunham, Ft. Supply, OK; Corde & wife, Kortney Newport, Edmond, OK; Logan Newport, Anadarko, OK; J.T. & wife, Jamie Hargus, Piedmont, OK; Amanda and husband Matt Murray, Clinton, OK; Tyler & wife, Alicia Noland, Mustang, OK; Lucas Noland, Mustang, OK; Andrew & wife, Marissa Noland, OKC, OK, 25 Great grandchildren.

She was loved by numerous family and friends.

Special thanks go to the Shepard Health and Hospice care, Clinton Fire Dept., Sinor EMS, Air Evac Lifeteam, Integris Baptist Hospital staff.
