Joy Lee [Haught] Freeman

JOY LEE FREEMAN, 82, was born December 25, 1929, in Binger, Oklahoma, to Adam and Linnie M. [Dennis] Haught. She passed from this life Monday, July 24, 2012, in Chickasha, Oklahoma.

After Joy Lee graduated from high school she and Homer Freeman were married on December 14, 1947, in the First BaptistChurch in Cement. They moved to Anadarko in 1950 and lived for many years on their farm at the Apache "Y" before moving into Anadarko. Joy Lee was a homemaker, and was very active in her church, Bethel Baptist Church, and the Town & Country O.H.C.E.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Homer, and son Freddie Freeman.

Survivors include one daughter, Donna Marten and husband Darrell of Lone Tree, Colorado; one son, Ronnie Freeman and wife Johnna of Anadarko; grandchildren, Rodney Freeman and Ryan Freeman, both of Anadarko, and Ronnie Freeman and wife Shelby of Ardmore; one brother, DonHaught and wife Bette of Escondido, California; one sister, Linda Kuntz and husband Ted of Stillwater; daughter-in-law, Brenda Freeman of Anadarko; two sisters-in-law, Jane Kuykendall and husband Don of New Braunfels, Texas, and Alma Raye Howl and husband Pete, of Lone Wolf, Oklahoma; nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.

Funeral Service will be at 10:00 am Saturday, at Bethel Baptist Church, with Pastor Glen Alley officiating. Burial will follow in Memory Lane Cemetery. Viewing at Steverson Funeral Home will be Wednesday until 5:00 pm, Thursday from 9:00 am until5:00 pm, and Friday from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm.
