Delta Maye Fletcher

Delta Maye Fletcher, 69, went to meet the Lord on Friday, Oct. 15, 2010.

She was born in Chickasha, OK to A.G. & Francis Fletcher.

Delta was an avid member in her church, First Baptist Church of Byars, where she liked to sing hymns and praising the Lord.

Delta was and avid gardener. She loved to take care of plants and flowers. Some said she could make anything grow.

Delta was a caregiver most of her life. She graduated with a degree in journalism, but found her calling, which was taking care of the elderly.

She is preceded in death by her parents; beloved aunt, "Mama Winnie" Reece; husband, Alfred Vigil; 2 brothers, 3 sisters; and 1 brother-in-law.

She is survived by her daughter, Teri Butts & husband Terry; son, Ricky Vasquez & his significant other, Karen Kilhofffer; son Mike Vasquez; sister, Pat Bernard & husband Art; sister, Becky Hammer & husband Marshall; 4 grandchildren; and a host of other loving family and friends.

Delta will be missed by everyone that knew her. Visitation will be today and Thursday from 4-8 PM at the funeral home.

Services will be Oct. 22, 2010 at 10:00 AM at South Lakes Chapel. Interment will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko, OK.
