Michael "Mike" John Dobry
February 17,1945 ~ February 19, 2009


Michael 'Mike' John Dobry, 64, was called home by the Lord on Thursday, February 19, 2009 at Reynolds Army Hospital in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

He was born February 17,1945 to Leon and Marceiia [Voegelie] Dobry in Fort Sill, Oklahoma.

He was a graduate of Anadarko High School in the class of 1963 in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

He was united in marriage to Kathy Beaver in 1974 in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

He proudly served his country 36 dedicated years in the Army National Guard.

He served in Desert Storm and Viet Nam and received several Badges and Ribbons. He had many wonderful co-workers and friends, who adored him as well.

After retiring from the Military he was currently working at the Glass Shop in Chickasha, Oklahoma. He took pride in everything he did and believed in a hard days work. He enjoyed bowling and was on several different bowling leagues. His family was the most important part of his life.

He was very proud of his children and grandchildren as well as his brothers and sisters. He loved celebrating everybody's birthdays. He never ask for anything except respect and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

He is survived by: a daughter: Vickie Standing and husband, Stewart -Mosquete, TX; a son, Brent Dobry and wife, Kistian - Chickasha, OK; five grandchildren: Cicely Standing, Chantel Standing, Skylar Dobry, McKinley Standing and Trent Dobry; two brothers: Don Dobry and wife, Kathy - Del City, OK; and Frank Dobry and wife, Nila-Moore, OK; two sisters; Claudia Gary - Tucson, AZ and Betty Gaddy and husband, Sid - Harabest, AL, and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Leon and Marcella Dobry, and a daughter, Tiffany Dobry Johnston.

Services: 10:00 a.m.-Monday, February 23, 2009 Saint Patrick's Catholic Church, Anadarko, OK.

Military Honors by the Army National Guard at Memory Lane Cemetery-Anadarko, OK, under the direction of Smith Funeral Home - Anadarko. OK.

Sp5 Steven Louis Dobry
October 27, 1949 ~ June 9, 1971


On June 9, 1970 Specialist Five Dobry was declared a casualty of the Vietnam War.

He served with honor in the United States Army.

Steven was the son of Leon J. and Marcella M. [Voegeli] Dobry and the brother of Michael John Dobry.

He is remembered by the people of Oklahoma.

May his positive example inspire us, as global citizens. Working together towards peace, mutual respect, and equality for all.
