Mary [Lindsay] Collins

Missionary Mary Lindsay Collins, 89, of Chickasha, Oklahoma, was called home by the Lord on Tuesday, October 5, 2010 at Nowata Gardens in Chickasha, Oklahoma, where she has been a resident since 1986.

She was born December 20, 1920 to Ora Otis and Sarah Ida (Edmonds) Lindsay in Anadarko, Oklahoma. She attended school in Anadarko, Oklahoma.<

She lived in California several years before settling in the Anadarko and Chickasha area.

She loved the Lord and was a Missionary most of her life. She told everyone about Jesus and his love. She worked in Haiti and Jamaica as well as the United States.. Her greatest love was for the Lord and her daughter, Kathy.

Mary was a joy to be around and she never met a stranger. She enjoyed helping others. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her daughter: Kathy Beeler of Chickasha and Carmen Murphy, whom she viewed as a daughter also. One niece: Peggy Golden, one nephew: Dean Golden both of California, and many friends at Nowata Gardens.

She is preceded in death by her parents, one brother and four sisters.

Graveside Service: 1:00 P. M.- Thursday, October 7, 2010, Memory Lane Cemetery-Anadarko, Oklahoma. Officiating: Reverend Carl Stockton. Under the direction of Smith Funeral Home in Anadarko, Oklahoma.
