Dale Brown

Funeral services for Dale Brown, 70, Anadarko, will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, Anadarko, with the Rev. David Blalock and the Rev. Donnie Edmondson officiating.

Mr. Brown died Wednesday, Dec. 19, 2007 at Physicians Hospital in Anadarko.

Burial will be in Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko, under the direction of Ray and Martha's Funeral Home, Carnegie.

He was born Sept. 6, 1937, to Guy Henry and Ruby Faye Clark Brown, the oldest of four boys.

He married Leota Stocking on April 3, 1959, in Duncan.

He served in the U.S. Navy and later enlisted in the U.S. Army Reserves, retiring in 1992 after 23 years.

He was a member of Virginia Avenue Baptist Church in Anadarko.

Survivors include his wife, of the home, a son, Jimmie Dale Brown and his companion, Tammy Calhoun, Oklahoma City; a daughter and son-in-law, Roberta Ann and Mike Henderson of Waycross, Ga.; four granddaughters; Audrey Ann Deloach and her husband Adam of Blackshear, Ga.; Rebecca Jo Light and her husband Adam of North Las Vegas, Nevada where he is serving with the Thunderbird Unit of the Air Force, Melody Dawn Henderson, a college student at Statesboro, Ga.; and Destiny Dawn Brown, of Anadarko; two step-grandsons, David Kringlen and wife, Toni, and Daniel Longley, all of Oklahoma City; seven great-grandchildren; Tyler Williams, Baily Williams, Mackenzie Deloach, Gabriella Brown , Ella Grace Deloach, and Krash Brown. Two brothers and sisters-in-laws; Donald Ray "Pete" Brown and wife Frances of Moore; Gary Dewayne Brown and wife, Carole of Dibble.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jimmie Doyle Brown; his mother and father-in-law, Harry and Leona Stocking and a siser-in-law, Janice Stocking Clift.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of your choice. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home in Carnegie, or at Virginia Ave. Baptist Church, in Anadarko from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
