Edward Dean Beets, Sr.

Funeral services for Edward Dean Beets, Sr., 63, will be held at 10 a.m. On Wednesday, May 5 at the Bethel Baptist Church in Anadarko with the Rev. Duke Tsoodle, officiating.

He went to his heavenly home on Sunday, May 2, 2010 in Anadarko.

He was born on December 13,1946 to Willard F. & Ruby [Carter] Beets in Anadarko.

He graduated from Anadarko High School in 1965, and worked as a civilian employee for the Oklahoma National Guard in Anadarko.

He later worked as an Administrator Supply Technician in Oklahoma City.

He was an active member of the Oklahoma National Guard from 1970 to 1978. In the early 1980's he worked at various oil drilling rigs around the surrounding area.

In 1983, he moved to Dallas, Texas, where he worked for three years with Layne Western Water Drilling Company, and worked in construction labor and then returned to Anadarko in 2002.<

His hobbies and pastimes include his favorite football team, the Dallas Cowboys and loved classic western movies.

He is survived by his companion, Evangeline Kaulaity of thirty years of the home, three sons, David Beets of Oklahoma City, Edward Beets, Jr. And wife, Brenda of Oklahoma City and Donald Beets and wife Missy of Lawton; step children: Jenna Lee Thrash of Oklahoma City, Devona M. Roulain of Purcell and Rick Vaughn Roulain of Fort Worth, Texas; brother Con Beets and wife, Cheryl of Oklahoma City; his close friend, Larry Kaulaity, Sr.; four grandchildren: Coleston Beets and Sierra Beets both of Lawton, Matthew King and Tyler Beets, both of Oklahoma City; aunt, Geraldine Lay of Oklahoma City; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He had many friends and acquaintances that loved him and loved visiting with him. He is preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Gene Beets; uncle: Jack Beets; nephew, and Kris Beets.

Pallbearers: Larry Kaulaity, Jr., Paul "Bear" Tate, Marty Jelinek, Randall Thrash, Jim Roulain, and Joel Parton.

Honorary Pallbearers: Larry Kaulaity, Sr., James Kaulaity, Paul Tate, Sr. And Kevin Beets, Ryan Thrash, Damon Avery and Jeremy Avery.

Burial will follow at Memory Lane Cemetery under the direction of Comanche Nation Funeral Home.
