Troy Lee Barbee

Troy Lee Barbee was born October 13, 1946 in Anadarko, Oklahoma and died on Friday, August 18, 2006 in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

He graduated from Anadarko High School in the class of 1965.

He attended the Caddo-Kiowa Vo-Tech for 2 years, learning auto body and welding.

He was in the United States Army from May 26, 1966 until April 7, 1968, serving one year of that time in Vietnam.

He married the former Carol Halpin on December 23, 1970 in Wichita Falls, Texas.

He worked at Hollytex Carpet Mill as Maintenance Supervisor for 32 years. Later he worked for the Anadarko Cemetery Dept, and for the last 4 years has been with the Anadarko Housing Authority.

He was preceded in death by parents. Survivors include wife Carol, of the home; one son, T. L. Barbee of Mesa AZ; 2 brothers-in-law, John David Halpin and wife Sherry of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and James Arthur Halpin and wife Cheryl of Mustang, Oklahoma; one sister-in-law, Mary Beth King and husband Bob of Fayetteville, Arkansas.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, August 22, 2006, at the Virginia Ave Baptist Church with former pastor Monty Moran officiating.

Burial will be in the Memory Lane Cemetery, Anadarko.

Viewing until 9 p.m. Monday at Steverson Funeral Home.
