Lindsey Brooke Bandy

Lindsey Brooke Bandy, 17 years of age, died on Wednesday, 23 December 1998.

Her services were held on Monday, 27 December 1998 at 1 p.m. in the new Verden school gym. Rev. Johnny Wray, pastor of the First Baptist Church in Verden, officiated.

Burial followed ar Memory Lane Cemetery in Anadarko under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home in Anadarko.

Lindsey was born in Chickasha and raised in the Anadarko and Verden areas. She attended school in Verden and was a member of the class of 1999 at Verden high school.

She served as secretary and president of the Future Homemakers of America sub-district.

She played softball and basketball and was a manager of the boys basketball team.

She was a member of the National Honor Society for three years and a member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and was listed in Who's Who Among American High School Students.

She was a member of the Verden First Baptist Church and was active in the church youth group.

She had worked the last two summers at Arby's in Chickasha.

Her paternal grandparents, Mae and Elvin Etharidge, preceded her in death. Survivors include her mother, Debbie Cochran of Anadarko; her father, Dewey Joe Bandy Jr. of Chickasha; her step-father, Mike Cochran of Anadarko; two half-sisters, Deborah Casey of Shaw Air Force Base, South Carolina, and Kimberly Bass of Oklahoma City; step-grandparents, Wayne and Joan Cochran of Anadarko; and grandmother, Jonelle Bandy of Sudan.
