Thomas Leroy Ozio

CHICKASHA - Funeral for Thomas Leroy Ozio, 50, Chickasha, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Virginia Avenue Baptist Church, Anadarko, with Donnie Edmondson, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Ozio died Friday, Nov. 28, 2008, in Chickasha.

Burial will be at Gracemont Cemetery under direction of Steverson Funeral Home.

He was born Dec. 26, 1957, in Port Arthur, Texas, to Eddie and Rosemary Krou Ozio. He came to Lawton with his family as a child and graduated from Lawton High School. He attended Cameron University for two years, then he attended classes at Oklahoma State University as part of his continuing education while working at the Oklahoma Department of Transportation, where he began working in 1981. He was transferred to Anadarko in 1983 and retired in 2003. He married Shannon White on Dec. 14, 1996, at Anadarko. They had lived in Chickasha for three years. He was a member of United Pentecostal Church in Lawton.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; two daughters and sons-in-law Jennifer and Khaled Alwan, Alexandria, Egypt; and Jackilyn Rashel and Tony Thompson, Tony, El Reno, Nev.; a granddaughter, Aminah Alwan, Alexandria, Egypt; his mother, Lawton; two brothers and a sister-in-law, Dennis and Claudia Ozio, Caribou, Maine; and James Ozio, Elgin; a sister and brother-in-law, Linda and Ronnie Russell, Clovis, N.M.; a mother-inlaw, Romona Adams, Anadarko; father-inlaw, James White, Anadarko; an uncle, Manuel Ozio, Port Arthur; three aunts in Indiana; nine nieces and nephews; other relatives and many friends.
