Friday, June 22, 1925 September 22, 1907 ~ June 12, 1923 BOY DROPS SHOTGUN; HIS INJURY IS FATAL Iri Copley, county superintendent-elect, has returned from Hinton, where he was called by the death of his 15-year-old brother, Willie Copley. Miss Naomi Copley, Mr. Copley's sister, who is attending summer school with him at Oklahoma Agricultural and Mechanical college, did not return to Stillwater, but remained with her parents at Hinton. Willie Copley was carrying a shotgun. He dropped it, accidentally discharging it. The shot load struck him behind the left shoulder. He lived about thirty hours, dying Monday, June 11, 1923 |
