Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the residence for Jeff Thomas who died early Saturday morning at his farm home 12 miles northeast of Carnegie. He was 64 years old.

Members of the family said they believed death was caused from eating hamburger meat Friday night.

He is survived by his widow, three sons, Bill, Rufus and Ted, and one daughter, Ethelyn at home and two daughters in California.

Fort Cobb Indian Woman's Rites Will Be Saturday

FORT COBB--Funeral services for Mrs. Catherine Henrietta Thomas, Caddo county Indian who died Tuesday afternoon, in a Carnegie hospital, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Fort Cobb funeral home. Burial will be at the Oak Grove cemetery, near Fort Cobb.

Mrs. Thomas, whose home was on route 3, 1882, in Caddo county.

She was married to Jefferson D. Thomas on March 26, 1899, at El Reno.

She was a member of the Baptist church

. Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Eller Hupp and Bessie Thomas of Fresno, Calif.; and Mrs. Ethelwyn Saxby, Mosses Lake, Wash.; and two sons, Rufus, Oklahoma City, and Ted of Fort Cobb; 23 grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren.

Priscella Dean [Dees] Thomas

Priscella Dean [Dees] Thomas, 75, of Norman, OK, passed away June 12, 2010.

She was born September 20, 1934 to Mary Bell [Johnson] Dees and Joseph Wheeler Dees near Swan Lake, Oklahoma. Priscella was the 2nd of 3 children.

She attended Alfalfa Public Schools and married George Edward Thomas on December 26, 1951. They had four children together: George Allen Thomas, William Joseph Thomas, Mary Katherine Thomas, and Richard Dean Thomas.

She owned Marcel's Beauty Shop in Norman for 20+ years, where she worked as a beautician. She also owned and ran Grandma Dean's Day Care for many years in Norman and worked with home health care in and around Norman area. Prescilla cooked for years at the Gamma Phi Beta house on the University of Oklahoma campus. She loved working as a beautician. She also enjoyed gardening and reading. She loved visiting with family and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents; sister, Mary Ruth [Dees] Gordon; 2 children: William Joseph Thomas and Richard Dean Thomas.

Priscella is survived by her son, George Allen Thomas and wife Becky Thomas of Bradley, OK, their children, and grandchildren; daughter, Mary Katherine [Thomas] Spaulding and husband David of Norman, OK, their children and grandchildren; sister, Shirley Ann [Dees] Johnson and husband Clayton of Rush Springs, OK, their children and grandchildren.

Services will be held 10:00 AM, Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Harvest Church, Norman, OK. Interment to be held 3:00 PM, Thursday, June 17, 2010, at Ft. Cobb Cemetery, Ft. Cobb, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.

Mildred Irene [Lee] Thomas

Mildred Irene Thomas, 77 of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma, was called home by the Lord on Monday, November 19, 2012 at her home near Fort Cobb.

Mildred was born December 16, 1934 in Eakly, Oklahoma to D.A. and Lucille Mae [Davis] Lee. She attended school at Eakly and Oney.

She married Billy Thomas on December 21, 1950 in Cordell.

She lived in Mountain View for several years then moved to the Fort Cobb area where she remained and considered home.

Mildred loved the lake and being outdoors. her hobbies included fishing, painting, especially on skull heads, bead work and wood working.

She loved to cook and was a wonderful cook. She cooked for many years for Leroy and Susie Plaster, which she thoroughly enjoyed.

Mildred was a very loving and caring lady whom will be greatly missed.

Survivors include her daughter, Connie Rambicure of Yukon; step daughter, Dorthy Fay Garrett of Minco; 18 grandchildren; 19 great grandchildren; 11 great great grandchildren; 3 sisters: Wanda Jendrusiak of Rogers, Arkansas, Carolyn Vandenlangburg of Abrans, Wisconsin and Kay McConnell of Carter, Oklahoma; numerous, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.

Mildred is preceded in death by her parents, D.A. and Lucille Lee; husband, Billy Thomas; children: Buddy, Janice and Doug Thomas; granddaughter, Tina Williams.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M., Friday, November 23, 2012 at the Fort Cobb Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Sanders, officiating. Burial to follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Cobb under the direction of Fort Cobb Funeral Home.
