Selma was born on Aug. 24, 1922 southwest of Plainview School in

Selma and Leonard were married on Thanksgiving in 1940. Together their
lives took them to several places in Oklahoma, including Clinton,

lived her life serving her family as a homemaker. She enjoyed
gardening, sewing and she will be remembered as the "Best Cook Ever"
by those that had the pleasure of sampling her talent. Selma was an
avid Ranger fan, and even in her last days listened to her team
compete in the playoffs. She was a dedicated member to her church,
First Baptist of Ardmore. Even when she could no longer attend, she
would listen faithfully on the TV or radio every Sunday morning. Selma
was the essence of grace, hardly spoke a word of negativity and
genuinely cared for all who came into her presence.
She will be cherished and deeply missed by many, including her
daughters, Lyndia King and husband, Larry of Shawnee, Patricia Johnson
