April Leigh [Evans] Matthews

Services for April Leigh Mathews of Calumet were Saturday afternoon, December 19, at the Highland Methodist Church with Rev. Tim Trujillo and Barbara Chadwick officiating. Burial was in the Oak Grove Cemetery of Fort Cobb, directed by Hinton-Turner Funeral Home.

April was born in Oklahoma City on April 2, 1979. As she grew into a young lady, her smile became the window into her warm and loving personality, that smile could melt the coldest heart and gave comfort and joy to so many people.

On December 2, 2011, April left this life, much to the sorrow of so many friends and family members. April truly loved people and had many friends who will miss her as she missed her late maternal grandparents, Glen and Berna Dean Atkins.

She leaves behind the love of her life, her husband, Lonnie Paul Mathews II and their sons, Evan, Ethan, James and Jaxon, all of the home; her father, Wayne Evans; her mother and stepfather, Gayle and Joe Stanley; her beloved siblings and their spouses, Kristi and Scott Goodman, Mark and Angie Stanley, Matt and Jodi Stanley and Robert and Jennifer Stanley; Lonnie's parents, Marilyn and Mike Foreman; and his sisters, Jill Ray and Angela Robertson. Also surviving are many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews that complete the family which loved and cherished April.
