Charlie Franklin Jones

Charles Franklin Jones was born in Yellville, Ark. May 6, 1877 and died at his home north of Carnegie February 29, 1940 after an illness of 20 days.

Mr. and Mrs. Jones and family had lived near Carnegie the past three years and have lived in Oklahoma 30 years.

Services were held in the Harvey Funeral Home at Fort Cobb and burial was made in the Fort Cobb and burial was made in the Fort Cobb cemetery.

Survivors include his widow, three daughters, Mrs. Letta Seward and Mrs. Inez Seward, Jenning; and Mrs. Jetta Seward, Oklahoma City and two sons, Ralph and Roy at home.

Mr. Jones joined the Church of Christ at the age of eighteen.

Amanda Jane "Mandy" [Bradshaw] Jones

Darko Woman to be buried at Fort Cobb.

Services for Mrs. J. A. Jones, 69, who died at her home at 515 East Kentucky at 11:45 p.m. Friday, will be in the Harvey Funeral Chapel in Fort Cobb this afternoon at 2:30 O'clock. Burial will be in Fort Cobb.

Mrs. Jones had been in ill health for the past 9 years after she suffered a stroke.

She was born in Alco, Arkansas, July 6, 1878 and came to Caddo County with her husband in 1926. They have made their home in Anadarko for the past 2 years.

Survivors are her husband, seven sons, Ted & Clyde Jones of Anadarko; Everett Jones of Fowler, California. Damon and Eugene Jones of Fort Cobb; and Troy Jones of Anadarko.

She also leaves two daughters, Mrs. Luaney Gadbury of Anadarko, & Mrs. Irene Wall of Carnegie.

John Alexander Jones

John Jones Dies; Rites set For Thursday

. Services for John A. Jones, retired Anadarko farmer & father of Caddo County Commissioner Tedford Alexander Jones, will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday in the Smith Funeral Chapel.

Jones died at his home at 515 E. Kentucky about 8:45 a.m. Tuesday, following a long illness.

Fort Cobb Funeral Home will be in charge of arrangements.

Jones was born February 23, 1879 in Dabney, Arkansas. He was married to Amanda Bradshaw, in Alco, Arkansas on 02/07/1897. The couple moved to Gracemont in 1925, and to Fort Cobb in 1925. They came to Anadarko in 1946.

Survivors are six sons, Tedford Alexander Jones of Anadarko, Clyde Alton Jones of Chickasha, Everett Homer Jones of Monte Vista, California, Demon Henry & Eugene Jones both of Fort Cobb, & Troy Cecil Jones of Houston Texas; two daughters, Mary Luaney Conklin (Jones) of Anadarko, & Mrs. Ester Irene Walls (Jones) of Marlow; two brothers; Harrison Jerome Jr. of Scotland Arkansas & Levi Burk Jones of Cave Springs Arkansas: two sisters; Mrs. Lavada Pack [Jones] of Canton, Arkansas, & Mrs. Matilda "Mattie" Franklin (Jones)of Clinton, Arkansas; 19 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren.

Solomon Beverly "S.B." Jones

Solomon Beverly Jones was born May 23, 1885, at Montague, TX.

He was married to Miss Eva Jones on December 20, 1908, and they established a home in Montague county, Texas.

In 1913 they moved to the community northwest of Fort Cobb, where he farmed until moving to Carnegie 15 years ago.

He has one sister, Mrs. Addy Driggers, Apache; and a half-brother, Luther Hubble, Artesia, N.M.

Martha Evaline Jones

Funeral Services For Mrs. Jones Will Be Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. S.B. Jones will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday at the First Christian church. Burial will be in the Fort Cobb cemetery with Pitcher Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Jones, a resident of Carnegie the past 20 years, died late Tuesday at the Carnegie hospital where she had been a patient since June 10. She had been in ill health since suffering a stroke in July, 1961.

Martha Evaline Jones was born September 23, 1887.

She was married to Solomon Beverly Jones on December 20, 1908. They established a home in Montague county, Texas, where they farmed until moving in 1913 to a farm northwest of Fort Cobb. They moved to Carnegie about 20 years ago. Her husband preceded her in death on July 25, 1961. She is survived by two sisters, Miss Lucy Jones of Carnegie, and Mrs. Sterling Cole, St. Joe, Texas, who was her twin; several nieces and nephews.

Everett Homer Jones

Services for Everett Jones, 67-year old Weatherford resident who died Friday afternoon, will be laid to rest Monday at 10:30 a.m. in the church building formerly occupied by the First Assembly of God Church of Weatherford at the corner of Seventh & Tom Stafford.


Rev. Lindell Warren, minister of the Weatherford Assembly of God Church, and Rev. Earl Woody, retired Assembly of God Minister, will officate. Burial will be in the Fort Cobb Cemetery at 1:30 p.m. Monday under the direction of the R.L. Lockstone Funeral Home.


Jones had been in failing health for the past 2 years & seriously ill since July 1977.


He was born in Dabney, Arkansas, July 4, 1910 & grew up in Arkansas. In 1925, his family moved to Gracemont, where he attended school. He later began farming in the Fort Cobb area.


On June 22, 1929 he married Lula Cossey in Fort Cobb and they continued to farm. In 1936 they moved to California where he was a carpenter. In 1963 they moved to Weatherford and he retired in 1964.


Jones was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Weatherford.


Survivors include his wife, Lula Jones, of the home in Weatherford; two sisters, Mrs. Luaney Conklin, Mrs. Irene Wall of Marlow; four brothers, Ted Jones, of Anadarko, Damon & Eugene Jones of Fort Cobb, & Troy Jones of Garland Texas.

Lula M. [Cossey] Jones

Services for Lula M. Jones, 80, of Anadarko will be at 10 a.m. Friday at the Anadarko First Assembly of God Church with the Rev. Lindell Warren, pastor, officiating.

Jones was born May 17, 1911 in Russelville, Arkansas and died Tuesday at the Anadarko Hospital.

She moved from Weatherford to Anadarko in 1978. She was a retired employee of Southwestern Memorial Hospital in Weatherford and a member of the assembly of God church.

She married Everett Jones June 22, 1929 in Fort Cobb. He preceeded her in death.

She was also preceeded in death by her parents, Melvin and Fannie Cossey, and four brothers.

Survivors include three sisters, Wilma Bondy of Ecorse, Michigan, Anna Horn of Anadarko and Ruby Kosp of Canon City, Coloardo; Five brothers, Clyde and Denver Cossey, both of Anadarko, Jimmy Cossey of Oklahoma City, Onnie Cossey of New Hope, Arkansas, and Ines Cossey of Springfield, Oregon; 19 nieces, and eight nephews.

Burial will be in the Fort Cobb Cemetery in Fort Cobb under direction of the Smith Funeral Home.

Eugene V. Jones

Yukon - Graveside services for Eugene V. Jones, 78, of Yukon will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Fort Cobb's Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Mitchell, pastor of the First Methodist Church of Fort Cobb, officiating. Services are under the direction of the Fort Cobb Funeral Home.

Jones was born Sept, 15, 1917 in Scotkand, Arkansas to John Alexander & Amanda Jane [Bradshaw] Jones & died Monday in Edmond.

He married the former Lollie Lee Borden February 16, 1937 in Carneige.

He was proceded in death by his parents & eight brothers.

Jones came to Oklahoma in 1923 from Arkansas & attended school in Foster, Oney & Fort Cobb. He was a rancher in the Fort Cobb area during his working life. He retired in 1979.

He moved to Yukon in December 1993.

Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons & daughter-in-law, Gary & Loretta Jones of Edmond and Clyde & Anita Jones of Piedmont; One daughter & Son-in-law, Glenda & Dale Birchett of Yukon; five grandsons, Cary, Gary, Lynn, Chris & Aaron Jones; one granddaughtger, Jessica Birchett; three great-grandchildren, Gary, Samantha & Katie and two sisters, Luaney Conklin of Paradise, California and Irene Walls of Marlow.

Pallbearers will be Cary, Gary, & Lynn Jones, Johnnie Borden, Johnnie Henerson & Max Scrudder.

Mary Lou [Mabry] Jones

Mary Lou Jones, 70, of Fort Cobb, Oklahoma was called home by the Lord on Sunday, March 6, 2011 at her home.

She was born May 5, 1940 to Willie F. and Edith Mae [Boyd] Mabry in Mt. View, Oklahoma.

She graduated from Alfalfa High School with the class of 1958.

She was a loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.

She owned and operated Ski Boy Drive Inn in Fort Cobb for over 38 years and was a dedicated business woman. She enjoyed going to the Casino and was very lucky.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church.

Her beauty, grace and strength, touched the hearts of all who knew her and loved her. She is survived by,one son, Doug Turney and wife Kellli of Fort Cobb, OK, one daughter, Rayenell Reed and husband, Danny of Elmore City, OK, four grandchildren, Lyndsy Nelson, Haley Turney, Jordan Turney and Adam Reed, two step grandchildren, Trey Abbott and Sarah Cloyd, six brother's, Edward Mabry, Jesse Mabry, Johnnie Mabry, Donald Mabry, Donald Mabry, Junior Mabry and Dean Mabry, two sisters, Dorothy Gordon and Lena Mae Evans.

She is preceded in death by her father, William F. Mabry, her mother, Edith Mae Mabry and a baby sister, Lavern Mabry.

Services: 10:00 A. M.- Wednesday, March 9, 2010 at the First Baptist Church in Fort Cobb, OK. Officiating: Rev. Matt Stewart.

Burial will follow in the Fort Cobb Cemeter under the direction of the Fort Cobb Funeral Home in Fort Cobb, OK.
