Darla Yvonne [Johnson] Craig

Funeral services for Darla Yvonne Craig, 45, of Weatherford, were scheduled for 1 p.m. today in Emmanuel Baptist Church in Weatherford with David Lawrence officiating. Burial was to follow in Oak Grove Cemetery in Fort Cobb under the direction of Lockstone Funeral Home.

Darla was born on Nov. 27, 1963, in Ankara, Turkey to David Leroy and Laquita [Orrell] Johnson and passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2009, at the Oklahoma Heart Hospital in Oklahoma City.

Darla was raised and attended school in Turkey, Germany, California, Illinois, Greece and Oklahoma, graduating from Altus High School in 1981.

She attended Southwestern Oklahoma State University for two years. On April 13, 1991,

Darla married Tracy Craig in Weatherford where they made their home.

She worked in the Pharmacy at Wal Mart until 1994.

Darla was a loving mother who volunteered and substituted with the Weatherford Public Schools.

Darla enjoyed reading, bowling, and attending her children's activities. A trust fund has been set up at Southwest National Bank for her children.

Darla is survived by her parents, Leroy and Laquita Johnson of Altus; two sons, Davey Carl Craig and Jamie Rayce Craig of the home in Weatherford; one daughter, Geena Nicole Craig of the home in Weatherford; two sisters, Debbie and Doug Woodman of Anna, Texas, and Rita and Woody Beisel of Altus; grandmother, Mildred Orrell of Fort Cobb; and many other family and friends.

Darla was preceded in death by her grandparents, Dave and Nellie Johnson; grandfather, Dale Orrell; uncles, Ronnie Niece and Bill Reed; and aunt and uncle, Wilma Jo and Ralph Johnson.
