Mary Luaney [Jones] Conklin

Fort Cobb - Graveside service for Mary Luaney "Lu" Gadbury Conklin, 90 of Paradise, California, will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, November 30, 1999 in Fort Cobb's Oak Grove Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Mitchell, pastor of the Gracemont United Methodist Church, officiating.

Conklin was born January 9, 1909 in Dabney, Arkansas, to John Alexander Jones & Amanda Jane [Bradshaw] Jones and died Sunday, November 21, 1999 in Paradise, where she had lived for the past 10 years.

She was preceeded in death by her husbands, Ray Gadbury and John Arthur Conklin; sons, Billy and LeRoy Gadbury; her daughter, Wanda Lou Gadbury; her parents, 11 brothers and one sister.

She moved with her family to Caddo County in 1923. She lived in Caddo County for 45 years before moving from Anadarko to Moore.

She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Gerald and Marilyn Gadbury of Paradise; Gken and Margaret Gadbury of Burlson, of Texas; one sister, Ester Irene Walls of Austin, Texas; two sisters-in-law, Cleo Jones of Fort Cobb and Lollie Jones of Yukon; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Services are under the direction of Steverson Funeral Home of Anadarko.

Paradise- A graveside service for Mary Luaney Gadbury Conklin, 90, of Paradise, will be held Tuesday, November 30th at Fort Cobb Cemetery in Fort Cobb, Oklahoma.

She died Saturday,November 20th, 1999.

She was born January 9th 1909, to John & Amanda Jane [Bradshaw] Jones in Dabney, Arkansas. She lived in Paradise since 1998.

In 1923, she moved with her family to Caddo County, living there for 45 years before moving from Anadarko to Moore, Oklahoma.

She was a homemaker.

She is survived by two sons, Gerald Gadbury of Paradise, and Glen Gadbury of Burleson, Texas; a sister, Irene walls of Duncan, Oklahoma and six grandchildren, and 11 great grandchildren.

She was proceded in death by husbands Roy Wallace Gadbury & John Conklin.

All arragements are being handled by Paradise Chapel of the Pines and Steverson Mortuary.
