Forrest Lathan Childress

Childress Funeral Is Held Sunday At Fort Cobb

Funeral services for Forrest Lathan Childress, retired farmer who died Saturday morning in the Veteran's hospital in Oklahoma City, were held at 2 p.m. Monday in the Fort Cobb funeral chapel. Interment was in the Fort Cobb cemetery.

Childress lived on a farm six miles south and two and three-quarters miles east of Carnegie.

He was born January 5, 1891, south of Lindsey and had lived in Oklahoma all his life.

He was a Veteran of World War I.

His survivors include one Cecil Childress, of the home; and two sisters, Mrs. Irene Nelson, Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Esther Warner, Akron, Ohio.
