Jesse T. Campbell

He was a farmer and service station operator who lived in Haskell the past eight years.

He was a native of Arkansas, and was married to Phoebe Pollie. She preceded him in death in 1958 and he later married Mrs. Gertie Tucker of Chickasha.

He was the father of Thomas of Fort Cobb; Mrs. Myrtle Freeman of Oklahoma City, Mrs. Gertie Cossie of Weatherford, and Mrs. Edna Kennedy of Newark, TX. Brother of Mrs. Rosie Fitzpatrick of Haskell and Mrs. Annie Thatcher of Odessa, TX.

Alene B. [Freeman] Campbell

Funeral services for Alene B. Campbell, 83, of Fort Cobb were held Monday, February 24, 2003 at 1:00 p.m. at the Fort Cobb-Hackney Chapel with Rev. Ryan Pfieffer officiating.

Alene was born April 26, 1919 at Scotland, Arkansas to Homer and Anne Mary [Willis] Freeman and died Thursday, February 20, 2003 in Oklahoma City.

She attended school in Arkansas.

She married James Thomas Campbell on July 30, 1934 in Cleveland, Arkansas. He preceded her in death November 4, 2002.

She was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church in Fort Cobb.

She enjoyed many hobbies including, gardening, crochet, knitting, piecing quilts and woodworking. She had been a beautician for twenty years and had lived in the Fort Cobb area since 1934.

She is survived by two daughters, Vesta Burnette and husband, Merline of Oklahoma City and Marjorie Ralston of Fort Cobb; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren; two sisters, Alta Mills of Jerusalem, Arkansas and Audrey Nell Freeman of Fredericksburg, Texas; one brother, Don Freeman of South Carolina; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; her son, James Thomas Campbell, Jr.; two brothers Arden Freeman and Lewis Freeman; a sister, Artie Creach.

Burial was in the Fort Cobb Cemetery under the direction of the Fort Cobb-Hackney Funeral Home.
