Lavena Oretha [Pittman] Brock

Brock Service Held at Cobb

Services for Mrs. Lavena Oretha Brock, formerly of Fort Cobb, mother of Orval Brock of Alfalfa, were May 5 at the Fort Cobb Church of Christ. Burial was in Fort Cobb Cemetery.

Mrs. Brock died May 3 at Windsor Hills Health Care Facility in Oklahoma City.

She was born at Hot Springs, Ark., November 19, 1917. She married William H. Brock May 13, 1933 at Shawnee. They lived there until 1949 when they moved to the Fort Cobb area. They moved from Fort Cobb to Oklahoma City in 1969.

She worked as a nurse's aide until ill health forced her retirement.

Survivors include her husband of the home; five sons, Aarta Brock, of Lookeba; Henry of Midwest City; Orval of Alfalfa; Billie Bob and Roy Jack, both of Oklahoma City; five daughters, Mrs. Kenneth McMillin of Fort Cobb, Mrs. J.D. Pinner of Tuttle, and Mrs. John Lemmon, Mrs. Bob Arme and Mrs. Bob Waller, of Oklahoma City; 28 grandchildren, four great-granddaughters; four brothers, Aarta, Lavern and C.D. Pittman of Los Angeles, Calif.; and Milo Pittman in Germany; one half-brother and five half-sisters.

Karen Sue [Koszelak] Brock

Karen Sue Brock, 65, entered into rest on Friday, February 28th, 2014 in Oklahoma City, OK after an extended illness.

She was born on March 15, 1948 in Oklahoma City, OK to Stanley and Martha Koszelak,

She grew up in the Midwest City area.

She married Henry L. Alden Brock on January 28, 1966.

Karen worked as a dispatcher for a wrecker and towing service for many years. Her greatest joy in life came form spending time with her family.

She is survived by: 2 daughters: Melisa Shaw, Newalla, OK, Michelle Fehrle, Willow Park, TX, 2 sons: James Henry Brock, Okla. City, OK, Steven Lee Brock, Del City, OK, 1 sister: Rose Creed, Newalla, OK, 3 brothers: Jack Redus, Long Island, NY, Gary Redus, Okla. City, OK, Stan Koszelak, California, 11 grandchildren: Bryan, Kaitlynn, Tiffany, R.J., Kevin, Danielle, Amanda, Brandon, Ryan, Samantha, Gavon, 7 great-grandchildren: Nathan, Dylan, Isabella, Blake, Brock, Jaxon, Jaycee.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.

Funeral Services: 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, March 5, 2014 Fort Cobb Funeral Home Chapel, Fort Cobb, OK., Officiating: Rev. Matt Stewart Interment: Oak Grove Cemetery, Fort Cobb, OK.
