Robert S. Brewer

Funeral Services For R.S. Brewer Are Held Monday

Funeral services for Robert S. Brewer were held at 2 p.m. Monday at the First Baptist church with Rev. James Weston officiating. Burial was in the Fort Cobb cemetery.

Brewer, who had been in ill health about three years, entered the Carnegie hospital Thursday night. He died Friday. He had been a resident of Carnegie about a year moving here from Mangum.

He was born July 4, 1899, at Chickasha, and had spent most of his life in this area. He was married May 17, 1940, to Sybil Holloway at Sayre. Nine children were born to them. Two preceded him in death.

He is survived by his wife of the home; nine sons, Virgil of Lexington, Okla., Clifton and Darrell of Oklahoma City, Bill of Viet Nam, Verril, who is stationed with the Army at Fort Sill, Boyd Earl and Robert Jr., Rogers, Ark., Bobby Gene and Billy Ray of the home; two daughters, Linda Knickerbocker of Oklahoma City and Edna of the home; 13 grandchildren, three sisters and two brothers including Almond Brewer of Chickasha.
