Sue Ellen [Cunningham] Sanders

Funeral service for Sue Ellen Sanders, 56, of Fletcher, will be at 10:00 a.m., Monday, June 28, 2010, at the St. Ann's Catholic Church, in Elgin, Oklahoma, with Father Prakash, officiating. Burial will follow at the Fairview Cemetery in Apache under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. A wake will be held Sunday, June 27, 2010 at 7:00 p.m. at St. Ann's Catholic Church with Deacon Tom Biles, officiating. Visitation will be Saturday, June 26th from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m., and Sunday, June 27th from 1:00 p.m. until 5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Sue Ellen Sanders passed away Thursday, June 24, 2010, at Southwestern Hospital in Lawton, OK.

Sue Sanders was born on July 20, 1953, in Lawton and lived in Elgin where she graduated from Elgin High School in 1971. She married Delbert Sanders on May 19, 1973, in Elgin. She was a CSR at Kolker Insurance in Elgin, OK for 8 years. Sue was an active supporter of Boy Scouts of America Troop 185 of Elgin. She was a member of St. Ann's Catholic Church in Elgin, OK. Sue enjoyed spending time with and cooking for her family and friends. Camping at Lake Tenkiller was a yearly family tradition that she planned and looked forward to every year. Her favorite pastime was her grandchildren and taking care of others.

She is survived by her husband, Delbert Sanders, of the home; 3 daughters: Crystal Theesen and her husband Jarrod, Jennifer Marsh and her husband Mark, both of Arlington, TX, and Robin Sanders of Elgin; 2 brothers: Phil Cunningham and his wife Mary and Mark Cunningham, both of Elgin; 2 sisters: Anne Biles and her husband Tom of Elgin and Kay Williams of Plano, TX; and 6 grandchildren: Tristen Sanders, Brayden and Tanner Theesen, and Anthony, Elizabeth, and Emily Dreadfulwater.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Patrick and Roberta Cunningham and one sister, Janet Seay-Orsak.
