Hazel Howell Funeral Services Held Here April 27

Funeral services for Hazel Howell, 71, were conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, April 27,, 1996, at the Oak Street Church of Christ with Roy Young, pastor, officiating.

Mrs. Howell died suddenly at her home in Apache on April 25, 1996.

She was born April 3, 1925 in Craighead County, Arkansas. She was married to John Garland Howell. He preceded her in death on May 27, 1982.

Mrs. Howell was a member of the Oak Street Church of Christ in Apache.

Survivors include: two step-daughters, Nieta Kay Simmons of Ft. Worth, Texas and Pat Carr of Oklahoma City; two stepsons, Gary Howell of Lawton and Danny Howell of Oklahoma City; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters, Ada Biggs of Jonesboro, Ark., Naomi Powers of Wynne, Ark., and Leona Taylor of Clovis, N.M.; three brothers, Paul Black, Cleo Black and Bobby Joe Black, all of Jonesboro, Ark., several nieces and nephews.

Burial was in Fairview Cemetery under the direction of Crews Funeral Home.

OKLAHOMA CITY -- Funeral for Danny G. Howell, 58, Oklahoma City, will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Southern Hills United Methodist Church.

Mr. Howell died Sunday, June 29, 2008, at his home.

Burial will be at 3 p.m. in Apache Cemetery, Apache, under direction of Advantage Funeral Service South Chapel, Oklahoma City.

He was born Sept. 18, 1949, in Apache, to John Garland and Genita Faye Parmer Howell. He has lived most of his life in Oklahoma City.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Lance and Shelley Howell, a daughter and son-in-law, Dionne and Matt Woods; four grandchildren: Mason and Evan Howell and Elijah and Holden Woods; his mother; a brother and sister-in-law, Gary and Ruth Ann Howell; two sisters and brothers-in-law: Nietta and John Plank, and Patricia and Jerry Carr; special friend, Larry Staton; and many nieces, nephews and friends.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The family will greet friendsfrom 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, 7720 S. Pennsylvania Ave.
