Mrs F. M. Coonfield, 84, Indian Territory Pioneer and Apache resident since 1909, died at 5 a.m. Saturday in her home here, following an extended illness.

Services are planned for 3 p.m. today in the Apache Church of Christ, with Will M. Thompson, minister, officiating.

Burial in the Apache cemetery will be directed by the Smith Funeral Home.

Born Lydia Evelyn Leming May 16, 1862, at Omaha, Neb, she moved to Texas with her parents in 1869.

She was married to Francis M. Coonfield January 14, 1877, at Dexter, Texas.

The couple came to the Indian Territory in 1887, and settled here nearly 40 years ago.

Mr Coonfield, a retired farmer, died here July 9, 1937.

Survivors include eight children, W. F. Coonfield and Mrs Fannie Ewing, both of Portland, Ore; Charles Coonfield, Lee Coonfield and Mrs Charles Barton, all of Apache; Mrs Anna Brooks, Leon, Kans; J. F. Coonfield, Marlow, and a number of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
