LEAVENWORTH, Kan. Funeral for Alfred "Sam" Bishop, 67, Leavenworth, Kan., will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Beldon-Larkin Funeral home, Leavenworth.

Mr. Bishop died Monday, May 18, 2009.

Burial will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Fairview Cemetery, Apache.

He was born Nov. 4, 1941, in Chickasha, to Alfred and Anna Myrle Roberts Bishop. He married Patricia A. Lee on May 26, 1963, in Apache.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Bruce and Jill Bishop, Merriam, Kan.; a daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Matt Shelton, Independence, Ky.; grandchildren: Brandon and Ashlee Bishop and Brianna and Myrle Shelton; a sister and brother-in-law, Sue and Donnie Matthews; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife; and a daughter, Kimberlea Sue Bishop.

Friends may call from 6-8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
