Jodie Washburn
1976 ~ 2019


Jodie "Tator" Washburn was born on March 4, 1976 in Lawton, OK to Donald Eugene and Delores A. [Keechi] Washburn. She passed away on July 27, 2019 at the age of 43.

Jodie "Tator" Washburn grew up in rural Oney and attended Oney School K-9. and then attended Binger-Oney School 10-12, graduating in 1994.

She was very attire in sports, especially softball and basketball, and achieved many awards and honors throughout her high school years.

After her graduation she attended Redlands Junior College and received her accociate's degree. In 1997 she attended UCO in Edmond and received a Bachelor of Science Degree. She later went to the University of Oklahoma and received her Master's Degree in Sociology while working as a social worker.

Jodie was diagnosed with thyroid cancer

Jodie was a tribal member of The Delaware Nation of Western Oklahoma.

Jodie is survived by her mother, Deloris A. Washburn of Fort Cobb OK, her dad, Don E. Washburn of Stamping Ground KY, 3 sisters, Laurie Noakes of OKC, Phyllis Pack and husband Clint of Binger OK, Kim Pfaff of Yukon OK and brother Ben Washburn of Fort Cobb OK.

Jodie was preceded in death by her grandparents, Robert and Louise Keechi, uncles, Leonard "Bud" Keechi and Timothy Lynn Keechi and aunt, Mildrid [Paisley] Keechi.

Services were held at the Church of God, Monday, 10:00 am, July 8, 2019 in Binger OK.
