Letty Ann Garrett Moorehead
Letty Ann Moorehead Of Cyril, Oklahoma Was born October 14, 1929 in rural Caddo County, near Anadarko, to Thomas Jefferson and Elsie May [Shelto] Garrett. She passed away August 19th in Anadarko at the age of 86.
After graduating from Gracemont High School, she married Nolen Moorehead on October 23, 1948 in Gracemont, OK. They moved to Cyril shortly after where she worked as a secretary for Duke Energy, retiring in 1997. She was also secretary for the First Baptist Church of Cyril, where she was a member.
was a member of the Evergreen Rebekah Lodge in Chickasha. She enjoyed reading and doing crossword puzzles. She was an avid OU and Thunder fan. She also loved taking care of her grandchildren.
She is survived by: 1 son and his wife- Roger Michael and Pam Moorehead Blanchard, OK 1 daughter- Nola Russow Cyril, OK 5 grandchildren- Brian and wife, Karie Moorehead Jenny and husband, Ray Morton Kim and husband, Steven Reynolds Heather Molitor Cody and wife, Jessica Shepard 12 great-grandchildren- Austen Moorehead, Michael and wife, Haylee Morton; Payton Reynolds, Ashlyn Moorehead, Carlie Morton, Kylee Reynolds, Corinne Morton, Caitlynne Weatherly, Makenna Molitor, Kambree Molitor, Emery Molitor, Ava Grace Shepard 1 brother-in-law- Harvey Davidson Pocassett,OK Many nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by: Her parents Her husband 1 grandson- Roger Michael Moorehead, Jr. 6 brothers-Lee Garrett, Andrew Garrett, Frank Garrett, Pat Garrett, Dale Garrett, Gene Garrett 2 sisters-Helen Street, Joetta Davidson.
Funeral services will be held Monday, August 22nd at 10:00 A.M. at the First Baptist Church of Cyril with Pastor Hoby Williams officiating, and assisted by Mike Edmondson. Burial will follow in Celestial Gardens Cemetery under the direction of Cyril Funeral Home.
Serving as Pallbearers are: Michale Morton Austen Moorehead, Steven Reynolds Chris McGregor Ray Morton Nakoa Williams.
