Graveside funeral service for Yvonne Christian, age 86, of Chickasha will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, September 7, 2018 at Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril, OK. Sister Alice Wendling will officiate.
Yvonne Christian was born the daughter of Ernest Joe Hill and Willie Faye Flowers Hill on July 21, 1932. She died on September 4, 2018 in Oklahoma City, OK.
Yvonne grew up in Chickasha and married her husband William Christian on January 15, 1960. The couple lived in Chickasha until 1968 when they moved to Cyril. In 1986 Yvonne moved back to Chickasha. She worked at USAO in food services as a baker for 18 years. After she retired, Yvonne continued living in Chickasha, and for the past two years lived at Shannon Springs Nursing Center, which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Yvonne was preceded in death by her parents Ernest and Willie Hill; her husband William Christian; and her daughter Billie Jean Matthews.
Yvonne is survived by her daughter and son-in-law Deborah and Robby Browning; her granddaughter Whitney Browning; and great-grandson Quintin Browning.
Interment will be in the Celestial Gardens Cemetery in Cyril, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of McRay Funeral Home.
There will be no viewing.
