Shirley Paula [Welch] Moore

Funeral service for Shirley Paula Moore, 73, of Wichita, will be held 1:00 p.m., Saturday, January 22, 2011, at the Cyril Full Gospel Church with Reverend Donnie Miller and Bro. Roy, officiating. Burial will follow at the Cement Cemetery under the direction of the Fletcher Funeral Home. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 20 and Friday, January 21 from 9:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Shirley Paula Moore went to be with her Lord on January 17, 2011 at her home in Wichita, KS.

Shirley was born June 7, 1937 in Stringtown, OK to the late Ola and Myrtle [Dunham] Welch.

She attended and graduated from Stringtown High School in 1954. On December 24, 1954, Shirley was united in marriage to Jesse Carl Moore.

Shirley was a member of Butler First Baptist Church where she served as the Girls' Sunday School teacher.

She is survived by her husband Jesse Moore of Sulphur; 6 sons: Johnny Moore and his wife Crystal of Wichita, KS, Kevin Moore of Choctaw, David Moore of Blanchard, Michael Moore and his wife Candice of San Luis Obispo, CA, Cameron Moore and his wife Karen of Blanchard, and Steve Moore and his wife Brenda of Wellston; 1 sister in law, Aunt V. of Phoenix, AZ; 17 grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ola and Myrtle Welch; 3 brothers: Sandy, R.E., and Gale Welch; and 3 sisters: Iona Magby, Maydell Welch, and Joy Stewart.

Shirley was a wonderful wife, mother, and grandmother and will be missed dearly by all whose lives she touched.
