Stella Iris [Smith] Chaney

Funeral service for Stella Iris Chaney will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, May 11, 2018 in the Cement Pentecostal Holiness Church in Cement with Rev. John Zwolle, pastor officiating.

Burial will follow in Cement Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Lawton.

Family and friends may view from 8:00 A.M. until 9:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home and also on Friday beginning at 10:00 A.M. at Cement Pentecostal Holiness Church.

Stella Iris Chaney, age 91, of Cement, passed away Tuesday, May 8, 2018 in Cement.

She was born January 8, 1927 in Cement to Austin Douglas and Florence [Marsh] Smith.

She married Elvin R. Chaney on September 22, 1944 in Anadarko. He died December 2, 2012.

Survivors include three children and their spouses; Lloyd “Buster” and Glenda Chaney, Debbie and David Barnes and Bruce and Terri Chaney, all of Cement, brother, Bob Smith and his wife, Eleanor, Modesto, California, sister, Beulah Reese, Chickasha, son-in-law, George Killian, Hickory, North Carolina and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She is also survived by numerous other children that considered her Grandma “O’Ma” Chaney.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, Larry Duane Chaney, daughter, Janice Pauline Killian, great granddaughter, Mackenzie Beth Saunier, two sisters, Gracie Dale and Rheba Carlson and a brother, Austin Smith, Jr.

Thelma M. [Phelps] Chaney

Funeral service for Thelma M. Chaney will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, November 28, at the Family Life Church, Cyril with Pastor Donnie Miller officiating.

Burial will be in the Cement Cemetery under the direction of Becker-Rabon Funeral Home, Lawton.

The family will greet friends Monday evening, November 27, 2017 from 6pm until 8pm at the funeral home in Lawton.

Thelma M. Chaney, 83, Cement passed away Thursday, November 23, 2017 in Corn, Oklahoma.

She was born March 21, 1934 in Dallas, TX to Chester Earl and Mabel [Powers] Phelps.

She married James Franklin Chaney on May 1, 1952 in Dallas. He passed away January 12, 1981.

She worked for the Cyril News as a data processor and retired from civil service at Fort Sill as a bookkeeper after 15 years of service. She was an avid league bowler, enjoyed dancing and working crossword puzzles.

Survivors include her 4 children; Mike Chaney and wife Cindy of Cement, and their children, Kelly and Michael Lewis and 2 great grandchildren, Mollie and Buddy Tehauno and 2 great grandchildren, Tera and Cody Wood, Trevor and Makalyn Chaney and 2 great grandchildren, Todd and Melanie Raasch and 2 great grand children, Tyson and Dana Raasch, and 6 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild, Doug Chaney and wife Tammy of Cement and their children, Melissa and Sean Wiederkehr and 2 great grandchildren, Amanda and Les Mowles and 3 great grandchildren, Samantha Chaney, Jon and Tabitha Sullivan and one great grandchild, Cassie and Ryan Chastain and 3 great grandchildren, Sharon’s [deceased] children, James Ray Cross and 4 great grandchildren, Tyler Cross, Ricky Chaney and wife Tammy of Cement and their children, Clifford and Jenna Chaney and 2 great grandchildren, Michael Chaney, Ethan Chaney and one great grandchild, Brenda Cole and husband Duff of Fletcher and their children, Greg and Megan Cole and 3 great grandchildren and Chad and Julie Cole and 2 great grandchildren, a sister Ona Pearl [Dody] Tincher of Mesquite, TX, and numerous other relatives and friends.

Thelma was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Steven Chaney, daughter Sharon Cross, great granddaughter Kailyn Michelle Cole and 2 brothers, Chester and Bobby Phelps.

Carl Thomas Chaney

CEMENT-Funeral services for Carl Thomas Chaney, 70, of Cement, will be Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 2:00 PM in the Pentcostal Holiness Church, Cement, with the Rev. John Zwolle, pastor, officiating.

Mr. Chaney died, Wednesday, January 19, 2005 at his home in Cement.

Burial will be in the Cement Cemetery, Cement, OK under direction of Hodge Funeral Home, Fletcher.

He was born September 8, 1934 in Healdton, OK to Clifford and Jewell [Harvell] Chaney. He was raised in the Keechis north of Cyril.

He married Norma Jean Zigler, February 1, 1954 in Cyril.

He had worked in the oil fields and had lived in Kansas and Texas but eventually making their home back in Cyril-Cement area. He had most recently worked for the Tri-County Oil Company and Chaney and Cogburn Company having to retire due to ill health in 1994. When he had time, Carl enjoyed fishing.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean, of the home, a son, Tommy "Randy" Chaney, Cement; a daughter, Carla Diane Haney, Rush Springs; one sister, Judy Bond, Pawhuska; two brothers: Elvin Chaney, Cement; and Clinton Chaney, Chickasha; five grandchildren: Dewayne Mayberry, Robin Mayberry, James Mayberry, Jana Mitchell and Miranda Reader; eight great granddaughters, and one great grandson.

He was preceded in death by his parents; two sons: Steven and Mark; three sisters: Anna Faye Jones, Dorothy Rogers and Ollie Richardson; two brothers: Clifford Chaney and David Chaney.

Norma [Zigler] Chaney

CEMENT Funeral for Norma Chaney, 77, Cement, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Pentecostal Church of Cement with Pastor John Zwolle officiating.

Mrs. Chaney passed away Friday, May 30, 2014, in her home north of Cement.

Burial will follow at Cement Cemetery under direction of Fletcher Funeral Home.

Norma Chaney was born Jan. 27, 1937, in Cache, to Henry Zigler and Ida Smith Zigler Jensen.

Mrs. Chaney moved from Cache to Cement when she was about 4 years old. She attended High View, Anadarko and Cement Schools.

Norma and Thomas Chaney spent most of their 51 years of marriage in the Cement area.

Survivors include a daughter, Diane Haney and husband David, Rush Springs; a son, Randy Chaney and wife Linda, Cement; a sister, Myrtle Watson, Anadarko; five grandchildren: Dewayne Mayberry, Rush Springs; Robbon Mayberry, Rush Springs; James Mayberry, Tulsa; Jana Mitchell, Ninnekah; and Miranda Reader, Norman; 11 great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Wayne Turner.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant sons; and her husband, Thomas Chaney on Jan. 19, 2005.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. today and from 9-11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.

Clifford Lloyd "Corkey" Chaney

Services for Clifford Lloyd "Corkey" Chaney, 65, Cyril, was 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 22, 2003, at the Assembly of God, Cement, Oklahoma, with Rev. Mike Bates, pastor, officiating. Mr. Chaney died Saturday in an Oklahoma City hospital. Burial was in the Cement Cemetery, Cement, Oklahoma, under the direction of Robbins Cement Chapel.

Mr. Chaney was born September 14, 1938, near Cyril, Oklahoma, to Clifford E. and Jewell [Jarvell] Chaney.

He lived all of his life in the Cement and Cyril area.

He married Shirley M. Williams on November 24, 1956, in Anadarko, Oklahoma.

He was a retired oil field worker and at the time of his death he was a part-time Relief Pumper for Martin Oil Company.

Survivors include: his wife, Shirley M. Chaney, of the home; 3 daughters: Katherine Stewart, Ft. Worth, Texas, Susan Kay Avery and husband Gary Don, Chouteau, Oklahoma, Linda Raulerson and husband James, Killeen, Texas; son, Jimmy L. Chaney and wife, Roberta, Cement, Oklahoma; sister, Judy Bond and husband, Darrell, Pawhuska, Oklahoma; Norma Jean, Cement, Oklahoma, Clint Chaney and wife Francis, Louisiana; 12 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren.
