Apache, Oklahoma November 2923 May 12, 1949 ~ November 2023 Sandra Kay Yellowfish-Gallegos "Pihnaa", 74, was born on May 12, 1949 in Lawton, OK to Myra Burgess and Howard Todome Sr. She grew up in Lawrence, KS where she attended and graduated high school. She later moved to San Jose, CA to attend San Jose City College for a degree in Social Work. While there she met the love of her life, Jose Gallegos, and they married in Reno, NV on April 19, 1969. She made a living for over 40 years as a skilled seamstress. She was a member of the Comanche Little Ponies Society Auxiliary, CIVA auxiliary, a former member of the Comanche Nation Election Board, Comanche Nation Elders Council, and a devoted member of the United Methodist Church of Apache. She was a loving wife, mother, grand mother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with family, participating in cultural functions, a loyal Denver Broncos fan, and was listed amongst the top 50 Comanche Spur Casino Players Club members. She leaves behind her husband Jose; 4 children; 8 grandchildren; and 4 great grandchildren. Wake service: Friday, November 3rd at 7 pm @ the Comanche Community Center; 301 E Julia Mahseet Road, Apache, OK 73006. Funeral service: Saturday, November 4th at 10 am @ the Comanche Community Center in Apache, OK. Burial to conclude services at Cache Creek KCA Cemetery, west of Apache, OK |
