© Carnegie Herald Carnegie, Oklahoma March 2, 2005 Carrie Tinetiah [Ahhaitty] Stumblingbear Funeral services for Carried Ahhaitty Stumblingbear, 93, of Carnegie will be held Wednesday, march 2, 2005 at 2:00 p.m. at the Cedar Creek United Methodist Church in Carnegie. Prayer services were held Tuesday, March 1, 2005 at 7:00 p.m. at the Pitcher-hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie. Carrie was born July 10, 1911 west of Carnegie to Lula [Tahlo] and harry Ahhaitty and died Saturday, February 26, 2005 at the Public Health Indian Hospital in Lawton. Carried married Francis Stumblingbear. She was a homemaker, a member of the Kiowa Tribe of Oklahoma, a member of the Cedar Creek United Methodist Church and had lived in this area all of her life. She is survived by one son, Gerald Cozad of Mountain View; one daughter Vera Buffalomeat, Mountain View, one sister, Nona Kodaseet, Carnegie; one brother-in-law, Leonard Cozad, Sr.; seven grandchildren, Sharon Pena, Lenora Cozad, Donna Geionety, Marla Pocowatchit, Ernestine Berryhill, Jeanette Standing, David Lee Cozad; 14 great grandchildren; three great great grandchildren; one aunt, Grace Tsonetokoy; her adoptive children, Hammond Motah, J.T. Goombi, Virgil Swift, Carl Tahah, Diane Kauahquo, Barbara Kaudle Kaule, Birdie Tointigh; numerous nieces, nephew and other family members. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; infant son, George Ray Cozad; two sisters, Eva and Velma; one brother, Harvey Ahhaitty; and one adopted son, Thomas Roughface. Burial was in the Carnegie Cemetery under the direction of the Pitcher-Hackney Funeral Home in Carnegie. |
